Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy is part of our Terms of Service. It explains what you may and may not do when using Pdfiqo at pdfiqo.com (the "Service").

Your files are processed on your own device and we never see them. That also means you are responsible for how you use the tools.

1. Use the Service lawfully

You may not use the Service to create, edit, convert or otherwise process content in a way that breaks the law. In particular, do not use the Service to:

  • create or modify documents to commit fraud, for example forging contracts, invoices, certificates, IDs or signatures;
  • sign a document with someone else's signature or on someone's behalf without their authorization;
  • produce or distribute content that is illegal, such as child sexual abuse material, content that incites violence or terrorism, or unlawful hate speech;
  • infringe copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights;
  • violate other people's privacy or process their personal data unlawfully.

2. Respect document protections

Some tools can remove or change protections in a PDF. Use them only when you are allowed to:

  • Unlock PDF: only remove a password or usage restrictions (such as printing or copying limits) from documents you own, or where the owner has given you permission. The tool does not crack passwords: to open a password-protected file, you must already know its password.
  • Remove or edit metadata: do not use it to hide the origin of a document for deceptive or unlawful purposes.
  • Redact PDF: check the result carefully before sharing. You are responsible for making sure all sensitive content has been removed.

3. Do not abuse the Service

You may not:

  • attack, overload or disrupt the website or its infrastructure, for example with automated requests, scraping at high volume or denial-of-service attacks;
  • try to bypass security measures or gain unauthorized access to our systems;
  • introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code;
  • copy, frame, resell or re-publish the Service as your own, except as allowed by law or by applicable open-source licenses;
  • misrepresent your relationship with us or suggest that we endorse your content.

4. Reporting misuse

If you believe someone is using the Service in breach of this policy, or you find a security issue, please tell us at hello@pdfiqo.com.

5. What happens if you break this policy

We may block access to the Service for anyone who breaks this policy, and we may report unlawful activity to the competent authorities where the law requires or allows it.

6. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
