Turning photos into a PDF

JPG is the format your phone camera and most scanners produce. PDF is the format that forms, portals and inboxes expect. Converting between the two is one of the most common document chores, and it should take seconds.

Here is when a JPG to PDF converter comes in handy:

  • Paperwork from your phone. Photograph receipts, IDs, signed pages or a lease, then send them as one tidy PDF.
  • Expense reports. Collect a week of receipt photos into a single file for your finance team.
  • Applications and portals. Many upload forms accept only PDF, even when your document is a photo.
  • Photo collections. Assemble a trip, event or project into a shareable album that opens the same everywhere.
  • Homework and assignments. Students can combine photos of handwritten work into one document for submission.

Getting the layout right

Fit image or paper size. Fit image keeps every page matched to its photo, with no white borders. It is ideal for viewing on screen. A4 and Letter place each photo centered on a standard sheet, scaled to fit without cropping, which is what you want for printing.

Orientation. With a paper size selected, Auto turns each page to landscape when the photo is wider than tall, and portrait otherwise. Force Portrait or Landscape if you want every page to match.

Margins. None uses the whole page. Small and Large add white space around each photo, which looks cleaner in printed documents and keeps edges from being clipped by printers.

Order. The order in the list is the page order in the PDF. Double-check it before converting, especially when the photos came from different folders.

Your photos never leave your device

Photos of IDs and bank letters are exactly the kind of thing you should not hand to unknown servers. This converter is built so you do not have to. The JPG files are read directly by your browser, the PDF is assembled in local memory, and the result is saved back to your disk. At no stage is anything sent over the network. Once the page is open, you can disconnect and keep converting. There is no watermark, no account and no fee.

Limitations

  • This page accepts JPG and JPEG files only. For PNG, WEBP, GIF and other formats, use Image to PDF.
  • Each photo becomes one page. Several photos cannot be arranged on a single page here.
  • Up to 100 images per PDF and 200 MB per file. Huge batches depend on your device's memory.
  • Photos are not compressed. If the PDF is large, shrink it afterward with Compress PDF.

How do I convert multiple JPGs into one PDF?

Select all the photos at once, arrange them in the list, and click convert. Every image becomes its own page in a single PDF. You can add up to 100 images per document.

Does converting JPG to PDF reduce image quality?

No. Your JPEG data is placed into the PDF as it is, without being re-encoded. The photos inside the PDF are identical to the ones you started with.

Why are my phone photos sideways in other converters?

Phones often save photos unrotated and add a note in the EXIF data saying which way is up. This converter reads that orientation tag, so portrait and landscape shots come out upright.

What does the Fit image page size do?

Fit image makes each page exactly the size of its photo, plus any margin you choose. Pick A4 or Letter instead when the PDF needs to print on standard paper.

Can I convert a scanned document photo to PDF?

Yes. Snap each page with your phone, add the photos in order, and choose A4 or Letter so the PDF prints at a normal paper size. Run OCR PDF on the result if you want searchable text.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The conversion runs in your browser, so your pictures stay on your own device from start to finish. It even works offline once the page has loaded.

Is there a limit on file size?

Each image can be up to 200 MB, and you can combine up to 100 of them. Very large batches use more memory, so a computer handles them more comfortably than an older phone.
