Turn sideways and upside-down PDF pages
Few things are more annoying than a PDF that opens sideways. It often happens with scanned documents, phone captures, or reports where a wide table was saved in landscape. Your viewer might let you rotate the view, but that change disappears the moment you close the file or send it to someone else. This tool fixes the orientation inside the PDF so it sticks.
You pick an angle, optionally narrow it down to specific pages, and download a corrected copy. The original file is left alone.
When you need to rotate a PDF
- Scanned paperwork. Pages fed the wrong way arrive upside down. A 180° turn sorts them out.
- Mixed layouts. A report with a few landscape charts reads better when those pages are rotated to match.
- Phone scans. Documents captured in landscape mode often need a quarter turn before sharing.
- Printing. Printers follow the orientation stored in the file, so fixing it first avoids wasted sheets.
- Presentations. Slides exported in the wrong orientation can be corrected before a meeting.
Getting the angle right
All angles are clockwise. Think of 90° as a quarter turn to the right, 180° as flipping the page upside down, and 270° as a quarter turn to the left.
If only some pages are wrong, list them in the 'Pages' field. Ranges and single pages can be mixed, like 1, 3, 10-14. Open-ended ranges also work, so 20- rotates every page from 20 to the end. Leaving the field blank applies the angle to the entire file.
When pages need different angles, either run the tool once per angle, or open the file in Organize PDF, where each thumbnail has its own rotate button.
Privacy and offline use
Rotating a PDF does not require sending it anywhere. The PDF engine arrives with the web page as JavaScript and runs in your browser's sandbox. Your file is opened from disk, updated in memory and saved back to your downloads folder. No server receives a copy at any stage.
That design means rotation still works if your Wi-Fi drops after the page has loaded. It is free, has no sign-up, and never adds watermarks.
Limitations
Rotation happens in 90° steps only. Straightening a slightly tilted scan, such as a page that is a few degrees off, is not something this tool does. It also works on one PDF at a time, with files up to 200 MB, and very large documents depend on your device's memory.
